I love to have a delicious CHEESE & SNACK board and a couple of good bottles of red wine popped open on THURSDAY night. It eases us into the weekend just a LITTLE early.
We have an old family saying ~ WE WANT TO START SWIGGING AND PIGGING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
I always start off with a big cutting board. I just love how everything looks on those, the grain of the wood and loads of yummies.
GRAPES 🍇 especially red ones are always a big hit with everyone. Something delicious, beautiful and healthy ~ what’s not to love? Also for an added touch I always pick some LEAVES from the yard to add to the grapes (after all you did just pick them from your private vineyard right?)
Tart and tangy BLUE CHEESE along with a good local honey is great with the grapes. We also love GOAT 🐐 CHEESE especially topped with some sweet but hot pepper jelly.
When I travel I am always on the lookout for cool HORN HANDLED cheese serving pieces. Got these recently in Aspen.
Salty snacks are also popular at our house and guests really do love old fashioned bbq chips. Good pretzels and some fancy vegetable chips and you have a winner.
Finish off with some olives, crunchy crackers and of course CUTE NAPKINS.
